The 2023 - 2028 Clinical Priority Plan (CPP) is Headwaters Health Care Centre’s five-year roadmap that identifies where we need to grow to best meet the needs of our community, and also defines how we want to continue to improve the care we provide, getting even better.
To identify the priorities, we heard from more than 1,000 staff, physicians, patients, volunteers, and community members. Our engagement included a survey, a review of program data, service volumes, performance, future trends, and population growth.
All of our clinical programs will have a focus on these four areas, otherwise known as the Quadruple Aim, in their day-to-day care delivery, future planning, and decision making.
- Improving patient experience
- Enhancing population health
- Maximizing resources and improving efficiencies
- Optimizing care team well-being
There are five specific clinical priorities that reflect the most urgent needs and populations poised for growth; listed in alphabetical order:
- Emergency Services
- Geriatrics
- Mental Health and Substance Use
- Obstetrics
- Paediatrics
